E-DRUG: HAI Europe Vacancy- European Project Officer

Health Action International (HAI) is a non-profit, independent, global
network of over 200 consumer groups, public interest NGOs, healthcare
providers, academics and individuals in more than 70 countries,
operating from four regional offices (Amsterdam, Colombo, Lima and
Nairobi) and a global secretariat (Amsterdam). HAI promotes increased
access to essential medicines and their rational use, through research
excellence and evidence-based advocacy, and works towards a world where
all people, especially the poor and disadvantaged, are able to exercise
their human right to health.
HAI's regional office for Europe - HAI Europe - is widely recognised for
its expertise and credibility and its ability to draw upon the input and
activism of the office, members and partners across Europe. Its role is
to trigger action, to serve as a multiplier, to mobilise and coordinate.
It operates through research, policy analysis in pharmaceuticals and
information sharing, capacity-building, and by acting as a watchdog, and
monitoring governments, intergovernmental organisations and
Public-private partnerships.
HAI Europe is in a position to offer a 12-month fixed-term contract for
a Project Officer commencing on 1 February 2009. The remuneration
package includes a competitive salary, pension scheme and additional

Areas of work for the Project Officer will depend on skills, experience
and interest, but will be drawn from the following:
* Best Practices in Medicines' Reimbursement;
* Democratisation of Medicines' Policy: Increasing civil society
participation in pharmaceutical policy.
