E-DRUG: Health Systems Global Thematic Working Group on Medicines in Health Systems - invitation to join
-----------------------------------------
Dear Experts on Medicines and Health Systems,
We thought that you may be interested in becoming a member of the Health
Systems Global Thematic Working Group (TWG) on Medicines in Health Systems
<http://healthsystemsglobal.org/twg-group/7/Medicines-in-Health-Systems/>\.
The goal of the Medicines in Health Systems TWG is to facilitate positive
change in medicines availability, access, affordability, and use, by
informing and facilitating dialogue among different stakeholders in systems.
With the support of Health Systems Global, we created this TWG in
preparation for the Third Global Symposium on Health Systems Research in
Cape Town in 2013. At this meeting, the WHO Alliance for Health Policy and
Systems Research launched its 2014 Flagship Report on Medicines in Health
Systems
<http://www.who.int/alliance-hpsr/resources/flagshipreports/en/index1.html>
and we held inaugural meetings for those interested in the TWG.
We will be increasing communications as we prepare for the Fourth Global
Symposium in Vancouver <http://healthsystemsglobal.org/globalsysposia/> in
2016. We will send out quarterly newsletters via email and post regularly
on the TWG's LinkedIn group page (click here
<https://www.linkedin.com/grp/home?gid=7453592> to join). We look forward
to members' active engagement in these activities and encourage members to
send or post information and materials that may be of interest to the group.
The Medicines in Health System TWG membership currently includes a diverse
group of over 200 health system stakeholders. We believe that to improve
medicines situations, multiple stakeholders from different parts of health
systems need to share their different views of medicines in health systems,
engage across boundaries in dialogue to better understand each other,
balance their competing or converging interests, and find ways to create
change. We look forward to collaborating with you on these efforts!
*Please respond to Laura Garabedian (laura.garabedian@post.harvard.edu) if you are interested in becoming a member of the Medicines in Health Systems TWG.*
Sincerely,
The Medicines in Health Systems TWG Secretariat
