E-drug: Industry clinical trials in developing countries
---------------------------------------------
I am a journalist writing a book on the multinational pharma
industry's siting of clinical trials for Western-market-oriented
drugs in developing countries. I am looking in particular at clinical
trials that exploit certain aspects of conditions in developing
countries, by design or otherwise,
* availability of treatment-naive patients
* patient trust in physicians
* lack of access to medicines
* rapid recruitment
If anyone on this list is aware of ongoing or recent trials of this
description (including those that have been prematurely terminated),
please contact me at soniashah@igc.org
Thank you in advance for your time.
