E-DRUG: Information required on restrictions for some drugs
-----------------------------------------------------------
Dear E-Druggers,
Happy New Year!
Pharmaceutical project at TheNetwork For Consumer Protection is also working
for safe use of medication and in this regard we monitor products whose
consumption and/or sale have been banned, severely restricted or not
approved by the Governements. For the purpose we have studied the document
"Pharmaceutical: Restrictions In Use and Availability" Update of the Sixth
issue March, 2001 published by WHO.
We have taken up this document in our local perspective as most of these
medicines are available in Pakistan and we want these changes to be
observed. In this regard we have scrutinized the list and need detail
information about Loxoprofen Sodium, Metoclopramide, Misoprostol,
Nandrolone, Phenylbutazone, Piperazine, Tianeptine Sodium and Tramadol.
We have also contacted WHO and still waiting for their response in the
meanwhile please guide us to the sources where we can find appropriate
information on the above mentioned medicines and any regulatory action taken
in your respective country.
Best Regards,
Azhar Hussain
