E-DRUG: Is DES still marketed outside U.S.? (contd)

Dear E-druggers,
                                    
According to European Drug Directory, DES is still marketed in the
follwoing European Countries:

UK (Stilboestrol) 0.1 - 0.5 - 1 and 5 mg; only the 1 and 5 mg dose
are available ("Apstil" - see BNF 33, 1997);

France (Distilbene) 1 and
25 mg; Ireland (Boestrol) 1 and 5 mg

Belgium, Luxemburg, Holland: The phosphate ester Honvan (Noury, a
Organon subsidiary) 100 mg, inj. 25 mg.

Only the 1 mg formulation could be used for gynaecological purposes;
all the high dosage forms are meant for prostatic carcinoma, even
though such treatmnt is now regarded as OBSOLETE.
