E-DRUG: One week Program "Pharmacoepidemiology & Drug Safety" Feb 8-12, 2016

The Program is designed to strengthen participants with concepts and
current practices in Pharmacoepidemiology which will further enhance the
intelligence and information dissemination on topics closely related to
Pharmacoepidemiology, Pharmacokinetics, Adverse drug reactions, Public
health, Epidemiologic methods, Medication adherence and Drug
Pharmacoepidemiological studies offer assessment of potential short and
long-run adverse drug events within the population.

Pharmacoepidemiological information into action, describe and analyze the economics of drug use and to advise decision-makers.

*PROGRAM CONTENTS *
   - Design, results, analysis and interpretation of post-marketing
   surveillance and other studies looking at specific drugs, populations and outcomes;
   - Methods for detection and evaluation of drug-associated adverse events
   - Assessments of risk and benefit in drug therapy;
   - Patterns of drug utilization;
   - Relationships between pharmacoepidemiology and the formulation and interpretation of regulatory guidelines;
   - Risk management plans and programmes relating to pharmaceuticals,
   biologics and medical devices.

The institute has been designated as WHO collaborating
Center for District Health Systems based on Primary Health Care. The
Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India has identified
the institute as an Institute of Excellence for training and capacity building.
