We would like to share that a training programme for the theme Pharmacoepidemiology and Drug Safety is scheduled from April 23 to 27, 2018 at IIHMR University, Jaipur, India and you are invited for the registration in the
due programme on or before 4-weeks from the commencement of the programme.

About Organization
The programme will be organized in IIHMR University, Jaipur which is ranked
number-1 B-School in Health Sector in India (Outlook Magazine). The
institute has been designated as WHO Collaborating Center for District
Health Systems based on Primary Health Care. The Ministry of Health and
Family Welfare, Government of India has identified the institute as an
Institute of Excellence for training and capacity building.

About Program
Pharmacoepidemiology is the study of the medical utilization and their
effect on large numbers of people. The epidemiological method improves the
use of medicine by detecting the genuine effectiveness using evidence
rather than following myths, p-drug, or me-too drug concept. The program is
going to emphasize upon pharmacoepidemiological information into action,
describe and analyze the risk/benefit, economics of drug use and to advise
for decision making.

Major Content

   - Methods for detection and evaluation of drug-associated adverse
   events, Pharmacovigilance;
   - Assessments of risk and benefit in drug therapy;
   - Relationships between Pharmacoepidemiology and the formulation and
   interpretation of regulatory guidelines;
   - Risk management plans related to pharmaceuticals, biologics and
   medical devices;
   - Patterns of drug utilization;
   - Design, results, analysis, and interpretation of Pharmacoepidemiology
   and
   - Pharmacovigilance studies for the better outcomes.

About Program

Medicines are required for their health benefits, they have to be accessed
on the basis of their benefits and possible harms; The management of
medicines and their evaluation related to their harms are required to be
accessed, based upon the data of exposed in population.

The method and techniques to assess potential short and long-run
adverse drug events in the population, patient safety risks, compliance and
monitoring. In addition, post-marketing surveillance, and monitoring of
implementation of regulatory practices in manufacturing and marketing. The
aim of the program is to develop understanding of concepts and methods in
Pharmacoepidemiology and their applications.

Objective of the program:

   - Concepts of Pharmacovigilance, role and basic approaches in medication
   safety and adverse drug reaction.
   - To assess safety concern of the medicines regarding risks/ benefits of
   medicine use in humans including the cause, manifestations and consequences
   of adverse effects.
   - To understand aspects for Pharmacovigilance compliance and monitoring.
   - To design and implement Pharmacovigilance.
   - To design and conduct post-marking surveillance drugs and medicines
