E-DRUG: People's perceptions and expectations of ARVs
------------------------------------------------------
Dear all,
I am carrying out a study in Southern Africa on PEOPLE'S PERCEPTIONS OF AND
EXPECTATIONS FROM ARVs because I believe medicines and their taking are
viewed, described and interpreted in a variety of imaginatively symbolic
ways. Expectations from ARVs are being set which will influence the
motivations behind future drug taking and experiences.
The aim of the study is to come up with information which can be reflected
in HIV/AIDS drug policies, societal discourse especially media accounts of
ARVs and their use, and programme planning.
I would very much appreciate any references of published or unpublished work
in such an area. Suggestions regarding the study would be most welcome.
Let me hear from you.
