E-DRUG: Pharma produces medicines for profit, not for patients (3)

I feel it is essential to protect intellectual rights and respect noble ideas. However, we should also look at the beneficiaries of these drugs, the patients. In a situation where majority of patients cannot afford the drugs then an intervention through policy change or modification can be of help as in this case of Indian Government allowing others to replicate the drug.
All products and services meant to save lives should be treated as such, this also will ensure fair pricing of patented drugs. The difference between the Bayer's brand and the other is really too much and every stakeholder should be concern of the essence for which drugs are developed for.
