Dear Colleague

In continuation to the efforts to promote the profession of Pharmacy
in the country, Pakistan Pharmacists Association in collaboration with
Drug Information Association (DIA) of Canada and USA and
Ministry of Health is organizing 10th National Pharmacy Conference
and 2nd DIA International Congress in Lahore, Pakistan commencing
from 9-12 January, 2001, at Hotel Pearl Continental.

The theme of the Conference is "Building Bridges Between Regulators,
Pharmaceutical Industry and Pharmacy Professionals: Regulatory,
Quality and Compliance Issues".

This is DIA's second conference in collaboration with the
Pakistan Pharmacists Association. In addition to a number of
prominent local speakers, it is also hosting speakers from the USA,
Canada, Netherlands, UK, WHO, CPA, FDA, Malaysia and India.
The Drug information Association (DIA) is an independent,
non-profit, International Association of professionals involved in
the area of healthcare. The DIA provides a worldwide neutral forum
for exchange and dissemination of information that is intended to
advance discovery, development, evaluation and utilization of
medicines and related healthcare technologies. Membership,
which exceeds 20,000 individuals from all over the world,
represents all areas of pharmaceutical industry, government
regulatory agencies & academic institutions etc.

PPA is making its systemic efforts in promoting the profession
of Pharmacy and uplifting the role / recognition of Pharmacists
in the country. It is the duty of all professionals / scientists
involve in the health care to sit together, think over their role,
the future prospects and propose the ways and means to
ensure the availability of safe, quality and efficacious medicines
to the ailing masses and to provide best pharmaceutical care and services.

The purpose of this meeting is to discuss current issues of
international relevance on globalization, harmonization quality and
compliance and its impact on the future of drug industry and
regulatory agency along with increasing role of Pharmacist in health
care and as provider of better pharmaceutical services. The success
of this meeting is contingent on the full support of all
organizations, stakeholders, regulators and professionals.

We, therefore, wish to invite you most cordially to attend the
  said conference and your active participation will be highly appreciable.

CALL FOR PAPER AND REGISTRATION:

Your paper for presentation will be most welcome. You can send your
abstract through email or by courier. Registration can be made at the
congress secretariat or with the provincial coordinators by paying the
registration fee along with enclosed registration form latest by
20th December, 2000 without late fee. All interested are requested
to get themselves registered well in time so that proper arrangements
could be made for organizing the event in a befitting manner.
