Just a comment about this case that brought memories to me. In 1992
while reviewing several files containing the information that the
pharmaceutical companies present to the Drug Registration Office in Peru,
I found that they only accompanying copies of the certificates received
from the larger foreign company that they represent in the country.
Several of the copies have a very strange shape in the header that made
me think that they have altered certificates using different headers of
companies. Also, although they had been requested revissions of contents
of ingredients the same formats had kept coming again and again, just
changing headers, even adding words with different fonts. Of course,
nobody paid attention to my complaint because it was see as a desire to
make trouble for such "nice" companies, which had already received the
approval.
I am sharing this experience because I consider it important that people
in charge of registrations in our countries, be aware that one can not
just trust that the certificates are legitimate. I would suggest that
copies should be accepted only when the originals have already been
examined. Also, that for renewal purpose, new originals should be
requested, because, companies usually bring another copy of the same
certificate expedited 4 or 5 years ago. Be aware of the change of date
with other font. That is the reason to request originals!
