The U.S. Pharmacopeia is recruiting for a Technical Advisor for
Drug Quality Control, please see job description below. This is a
senior-level position working with USAID-funded programs and
other international initiatives.

Position:
        Technical Advisor for Drug Quality Control

Job Summary:
        Provides technical leadership to drug quality assurance
activities within the Global Assistance Initiatives Dept. and the
Office of International Affairs of the United States Pharmacopeia.
Provides direct technical assistance to improve pharmaceutical
quality assurance systems with specific work determined by client
demands. May manage one or more central or field-based
technical assistance activities, and may be responsible for
managing specific training activities. Will participate in the
development of new projects, activities, and contacts with other
organizations related to improving drug quality especially in
developing countries.

Qualifications:
        Master's Degree in Chemistry or other related science
required, Ph.D preferred. Demonstrated international work
experience, particularly in developing countries. Knowledgeable in
analytical methods, GMPs and GLPs. Experience as a team leader.
Experience in working with government drug regulatory agencies
and or pharmaceutical industry strongly preferred. Experience with
USAID and/or WHO a plus. Strong communication skills required.
Creative problem-solver. Training experience a plus. English
language skills required, other languages desirable especially
French, Russian, Urdu or Chinese. Ability to travel internationally
required.
