E-drug: Private sector pharmaceutical services

Dear Colleagues:
Some of my colleagues are currently exploring ways of improving national
distribution of private sector pharmaceutical service and services at
hospital pharmacy section in order to promote professional advice on
correct utilization and/or optimal use of medicines for patients
as well as for healthcare professionals.
Those colleagues are soon leaving Japan for UK and other European
countries to make an investigation.
Members include four registered pharmacists from Japan.

1. Purposes of This Investigation
On the following items, make a comparative study of pharmacists a
and dispensing fees among British, Germany, Sweden, the United
States, and Japan.
(1) Contributions to medical care that pharmacists and pharmacies
fulfill with regard to quality, effectiveness, and safety of medicine.
(2) Assessment by dispensing fee derived from (1).
(3) Contribution to the economy of medical care that pharmacists
and pharmacies fulfill.
2. The Person in charge of This Study
Ken Nakamura: Professor of college of Pharmacy, Nihon University
Other researchers are selected by Prof. Nakamura.
