[e-drug] Public drug testing labs

E-drug: Public drug testing labs
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Friends,

I have posted this mail earlier in March, but did not receive any
response and I am posting it again. Ordinary consumers in Pakistan
are not allowed to get their medicines tested in public drug testing
laboratories. The general practice is that samples of medicines have
to be collected by designated drug inspectors. Laboratories will only
accept drugs from them; not from the general public. If a consumer
suspects poor quality of a drug, s/he cannot get it tested directly by
the public drug laboratories.

What is the current situation and practice in your country? Do you
have any suggestions regarding this problem? Can somebody help
us? Waiting for early replies!

Regards,
