E-drug: Re: Are Guidelines Following Guidelines

The abstracted article in JAMA on the evaluation of practice guidelines
mentions that "Methodological principles have been formulated to guide their
development". I have had a hand in the development of Standard Treatment
Guidelines for PHC doctors in several countries and have been struck by the
lack of "guidelines" to do this. May be I don't know where to look. It would
appear that guidelines may be simple or detailed, disease based or problem
based, have flow charts or tables, be pocket sized or A4 size etc. Could any
E-druggers help
me?
