E-DRUG: Re: Drug Information for Patients

E-drug: Re: Drug Information for Patients
----------------------------------------------------------

Dear E-Druggers

Dr Ekbal drew attention to the influence of the British National Formulary
in the formulation of the Kerala State Formulary. It would be interesting
to know of other formularies that have been similarly modelled on the BNF -
although the Essential Drugs Project no longer operates a BNF distribution
scheme, we used to receive many requests for it from formulary committees
throughout the world. We would be glad to receive feedback and let e-drug
and the BNF editorial office know the results.

Regarding 'Banned and Bannable Drugs', in a very different context the
Public Citizen Health Research Group's 'Worst Pills, Best Pills' has, I
believe, had a similar success.
