E-drug: Re: Phenylbutazone availability

There is still a single generic version of phenylbutazone available on
the Canadian market. Any physician could prescribe it. The CPS (the
Canadian equivalent of the PDR) does not have any information about it
aside from the dosage form so I can't see if there are any recommendations
on how long patients should take the product. This is just one of
unfortunately too many examples where the Canadian regulatory
authorities permit useless and/or dangerous drugs to remain on the
market.
