Do we know where she will be working? If it is in the unit that oversees the
Ivermectin distribution this would be reasonable. If elswhere I would share
some of the concerns expressed. When the World Bank appointment was being
discussed I suggested that in the interests of fairness and balance a
consumer representative from HAI or BUKO or WEMOS also be placed in the
organization. In the spirit of partnership that the DG is promoting what
about this option?

[Note from moderator: WHO has said she will be working on the tobacco-free
initiative (which is sponsored by the pharmaceutical companies marketing
nicotine products) and with private sector partnership. From the E-mail
quoted I get the impression MSD has a different perception of her role.
