S Sudan is a new country where a systems still are in their initial phase and where good technical staff can make a difference.
This position of Supply Chain Management team leader of the UNDP, GF Program Management Unit is really interesting and challenging.
For this position you are "based" in Juba with frequent rest and recovery.
Pharmacists with a broad experience in Procurement and Supply Chain Management of Pharmaceuticals and with a good knowledge of GF processes should not hesitate to apply.
The position is initially for 1 year fixed tem but is in principle extendable.
Summary of key Functions:
* Overall responsibility for quality assurance and management of the Juba pharmaceutical warehouse including providing capacity building support to the warehouse staff;
* Support the development and implementation of a drug procurement, distribution, monitoring and coordination plan for South Sudan;
* Provide technical and capacity building/training support to the Directorate of Pharmaceuticals at all levels;
* Support the Ministry of Health (MoH) Directorate of Pharmaceuticals to develop standard procedures and guidelines for management of pharmaceutical supply chain in South Sudan.
Key Responsibilities:
Under the overall guidance and direct supervision of the UNDP Global Fund Coordinator and the Director General, Pharmaceutical Directorate, Ministry of Health, Government of Southern Sudan, the Technical Specialist (Supply Chain Management) will be responsible for the following key tasks:

* Logistic System Design/Logistics Management Information System (LMIS):
* Supervision and Monitoring:
* Communication and Coordination:
