We would like to announce a job vacancy as Supply Chain Management Coordinator in Juba, South Sudan where EHG provides Supply Chain Management services under four GFATM grants.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for coordinating supply chain activities for the SCM-South Sudan project from reception to distribution of goods, according to the good pharmaceutical practices. He/she is also responsible for improving reception, control, storage, preparation and distribution of orders. In addition he/she should assist in improving the forecasting of medicines and medical supplies and to provide technical assistance to the Ministry of Health, partners NGOs and Procurement agencies.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS:
1. Organize and/or improve warehouses in Juba
2. Coordinate supply chain activities on UNDP/GF project
3. Manage his/her service and his/her supervisees
4. Ensure respect of Good Pharmaceutical Practices and Quality Assurance on all supply chain activities
REQUIREMENTS
· Relevant degree with qualification in logistics and drug supply management
· Minimum of five years working in supply chain management, within a medical store or equivalent.
· Previous experience of working in a transitional, developing or post-conflict country
· Proven ability to design and implement procedures
· Proven ability in capacity building and supervision
· Management, organisational and communication skills
· Knowledge of and experience with computerised inventory control systems in pharmaceutical warehousing.
· Conversant with pharmaceutical standards and regulations in particular with good storage and distribution practices.
· Familiar with forecasting process and use of consumption/issues data.
· Fluency in English
Desirable
* Good command of Arabic
* Previous working experience in South Sudan.
