Dear e-druggers,
The Ayurvedic Pharmacopoeia of India has been published in 1967 by the
Govt. of India and contains information on quality parameters for about
80 Ayurvedic drugs. Recently, the Indian Drugs Manufactureres Association
also published the first volume of the Herbal Pharmacopoeia (1998)edited
by Prof SS Handa, Director, RRL, Jammu. This contains quality assurance
standards for some 22 herbs commonly used in India.
