E-drug: Training course "Managing Drug Supply for PHC"
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

[Dear E-druggers, IDA Amsterdam informed me that there are
still places available in the course(s) "Managing Drug Supply for
PHC", jointly organised by IDA, MSH, WHO, and ReMed. They
are excellent courses and I can warmly recommend them! And
who doesn't want to spend some time in Amsterdam? The
courses will be held soon (15 - 26 September in English and
20 - 31October in French), so please register soon. HH]

The World Health Organisation (WHO), in association with
International Dispensary Association (IDA), Management
Sciences for Health (MSH) and the Reseau Medicaments et
Developpement (ReMeD), will organise a training course for
pharmacists, physicians, senior health system managers and
technical assistance professionals from non-governmental and
governmental organisations.

The objectives of the course "Managing drug supply for primary
health care":

1. Expose participants to modern managements techniques of
drug supply systems and to teach how to apply those in their
own specific situation;
2. Provide practical tools to decision-makers in essential drugs
programs to improve their level of performance;
3. Exchange views and experiences between senior
decision-makers.

The course will be held in Amsterdam in the Netherlands :

* from 15th to 26th of September 2003 (in English)
* from 20th to 31st of October 2003 (in French)

This year will be the eighth year of organisation of the course.
Past experience has shown that it is particularly effective in
helping closing the gap between what is known about public
health problems and what is done to solve them.
