E-DRUG: UMC is celebrating 10 years of publishing Uppsala Reports
--------------------------------------------------------
It's gratifying to note that WHO Uppsala Monitoring Centre (Sweden)(http://www.who-umc.org/) has been publishing Uppsala Reports for the last 10 years. I understand how difficult it is to sustain any publication of a periodical. All issues of the WHO-UMC are full of information. It covers knowledge-based information not only of WHO-UMC activities, but also world-wide activities of other groups in the field of Pharmacovigilance. It's always interesting to know what others are doing in the same field of interest. Uppsala Report is filling this curiosity.
The Library of Ibn Sina Academy (Aligarh, India), which is specifically rich in having manuscripts and publications on history of medicine (http://www.nlm.nih.gov/hmd/directory/151.html) is also compiling a very comprehensive resource collection on Pharmacovigilance and drug safety. Under the 'Centre for Safety & Rational Use of Indian Systems of Medicine' of the Academy, the Library has almost all the publications of UMC (Uppsala, Sweden) including 33 issues of Uppsala Reports published till now.
