Management Sciences for Health's (MSH) Strengthening Pharmaceutical Systems (SPS) program together with Stop TB's Global TB Drug Facility (GDF) and the Green Light Committee (GLC) has the pleasure to announce a day long workshop at the 39th Union World Conference on Lung Disease (The UNION) in Paris, France.

Title: Streamlining TB Case, Medicine and Commodity Management Information: Strengthening Health Systems Response
Description: With many countries still struggling with adequate DOTS implementation, emerging XDR TB and increasing global concern for drug resistant TB, an accurate and reliable information system to track patient centred and commodity consumption TB data is needed for health systems to promote and enhance treatment outcomes. USAID supported Strengthening Pharmaceutical Systems (SPS) program and Stop TB's Global TB Drug Facility (GDF) and Green Light Committee (GLC) will present validated tools and strategies that support TB information systems to address common challenges affecting treatment outcomes.
Target: NTP managers, provincial or district TB coordinators, TB consultants, international and local partner organizations involved in TB program, donors' representatives.
Objectives:
Participants will learn about
· validated tools and strategies to improve monitoring and decision making for TB and resistant TB treatment schemes
· innovative products and strategies available to assist country programs in promoting quality, cost effective treatment
· approaches to ensuring suitable therapies, medicine availability and appropriate use
· other tools for promoting TB, TB/HIV and private sector medicine
