[e-drug] WHO survey donated medical devices in Sub Saharan African health facilities

E-DRUG: WHO survey donated medical devices in Sub Saharan African health facilities
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear E-Druggers,

I would like to relay here a message from the WHO Medical Device Team:

Information concerning donated medical devices has not been updated for a
long time, especially in sub Saharan Africa.

As you may know, without proper processes, medical device donations can cause more problems than assistance. Therefore, the WHO medical device team would like to gather
information to create the evidence base required to strongly advocate for
better medical device use, waste reduction and donation practice.

To compile the relevant information a survey has been created on the use of
donated medical devices in Sub Saharan African health care facilities. It
should not take more than 5 - 10 minutes for the appropriate person to
complete.

The survey can be found here:

https://extranet.who.int/datacol/survey.asp?survey_id=3389
Username: guest
Password: guest

If this could be passed on to the appropriate people such as procurement
officers or hospital biomedical engineering department staff it would be
very well appreciated. We would kindly welcome if you can respond before
February 1st, 2016. The survey is used for statistical purposes and a
report outlining its findings will be available by February 20, 2016.

Let me know if you have any question or issue with the survey.

Best regards,
Margaux Bellier
