E-DRUG: Why donations of sample/outdated drugs are welcome (2)
--------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry, Dr. Hoehn, I am a paediatrician in a Third World country, Trinidad &
Tobago and I disagree with just about everything you said. I especially do
not agree that I must be grateful for any type of medication sent to me
because I have nothing else to use. That's the kind of thinking that
excuses a lower standard of care for HIV positive patients in Third World
countries who participate in a study along with North americans and
Europeans, because "that's the standard of care there".
And "Their staff have the time to sort out the samples"? But that's
precisely one of the major problems of a Third World country, no one has
time to sort out problems. We are overwhelmed. What country exactly did
you work in? I'd love to go there.
