Technical Advisor, OVC (Arlington, VA)
To provide technical leadership in Orphans and other Vulnerable Children (OVC) programming for the Public Health Programs (PHP) of FHI. Main responsibilities include: Provide technical direction and ensure the highest quality of OVC activities of the Public Health Programs through technical input, capacity building and supervision of OVC staff and management of the portfolio; Coordinate and manage activities and technical assistance priorities of staff, consultants and other resource agencies in carrying out the PHP's OVC activities; Stimulate and act as a resource for the development of innovative and expanded responses in OVC through the active involvement of a Global Technical Leadership Team. Master's Degree or equivalent in Public Health or the psychosocial sciences, qualified in child development or welfare with 7-9 years experience. At least seven years experience in the field of children's issues, four of which needs to include working in developing countries.
Fluency in French or Spanish is preferred.

Senior Research Associate, Kenya
In Conjunction with Technical Supervisor in North Carolina and Operational Supervisor in Nairobi Kenya, develops programmatic research studies from conceptualization to literature review and protocol design; determines technical objectives; oversees incoming data and monitors data quality; and recommends the selection of project staff. BS/BA in public health or related field and 11-12 years relevant experience and professional level of knowledge and expertise in research methods and application; or MS/MA /MPH and 8-9 years relevant experience; or MD/PhD and 3 years relevant experience and professional level of knowledge and expertise in research methods and application.

Country Director, Cambodia
Provides leadership and management oversight for all FHI's portfolio of projects and activities in Cambodia; oversees operations and, as the primary FHI country representative, ensures strong collaboration between FHI and the Government of Cambodia, donors and sponsors. Represents FHI to external donors/sponsors and leads FHI business and resource development efforts in country. Also serves as chief of party (COP) on TASC3 Cambodia. Position is based at Phnom Penh. BS/BA in public health or related field, and 11-13 years relevant experience in international development programs with 5-7 years supervisory experience; or MS/MA/MPH and 9 - 11 years relevant experience; or PhD, MD or equivalent degree with 7 - 9 years relevant experience. Overseas field experience required.

Senior Technical Officer, Strategic Information (Cambodia)
The Senior Technical Officer, Strategic Information is responsible for providing technical leadership and innovation in the area of HIV surveillance, special studies, size estimations and evaluations that will guide evidence-based programming and effective responsiveness to the HIV epidemic in Cambodia. Position is based at Phnom Penh.BS/BA in public health or related field, and 7-9 years relevant experience in surveillance, evaluation and research, HIV/AIDS with international development programs. Or MS/MA/MPH in public health or related field, and 5 - 7 years relevant experience; Or PhD, MD or similar degree with 3 - 5 years relevant experience. Overseas field experience required.

Associate Director, Shared Services (Mozambique)
Oversee the administration and financial of the Country and Field Offices; Manage HR systems; support staff recruitment, development, management; Training and on-the/job-training of FHI national staff and concerned implementing partners; Manages contracts and subgrants; Assists in budget development and ensures budget tracking; Supervise financial staff and maintain control of expenditures; Strengthen administration and contractual systems in compliance with FHI, donor policies; Oversee financial reporting per FHI and donor requirements; Supervises Logistics, Procurement, Communications, including IT and Security; Provides leadership during auditing process.
BS/BA in Business Management or related field, and 7 - 9 years relevant experience in international development organizations. Or MS/MA in Business Management or related field, and 5 - 7 years relevant experience in international development organizations. Overseas field experience required. Portuguese/Spanish language required.

Project Director, Mozambique
The Project Director (PD) is primarily responsible for overall planning and management of activities and facilitating senior level policy and technical dialogue with the National Malaria Control Program (NMCP), MOH other government Ministries and International Partners. The PD will assist the NMCP to work more effectively both internally and with external partners. Specifically, s/he will assist the NMCP and MOH in working: 1) across operational units at the central level through the implementation of new policy, planning and management processes; 2) between the central level and the Provincial/District levels to enhance information flows and facilitate implementation of programs; 3) with other Ministries to facilitate implementation of NMCP and MOH priorities; and 4) with international partners to insure coordination with NMCP. The PD will also assist USAID/Mozambique with effective use and coordination of PMI resources. BS/BA and 9-11 years relevant experience with international development programs and includes 3-5 years of supervisory experience; or MS/MA and 7-9 years relevant experience; or PhD/MD or equivalent degree and 5-7 years relevant experience. English required, fluency in Portuguese desired.

Senior Technical Officer, Monitoring & Evaluation, Mozambique
The M&E Senior Technical Officer will focus on improving the quality of malaria-related surveillance data and reporting at the district, provincial, and national levels, as the malaria interventions in Mozambique will rapidly scale-up and evolve. The M&E Senior Advisor will be seated in the NMCP in order to strengthen the capacity of the NMCP (through either direct support or assistance) to collect and analyze data, reach conclusions, and respond in a rational and timely fashion.

Senior Technical Officer, Malaria, Mozambique
The Senior Malaria Technical Officer will focus on the content of advocacy messages and the evidence base for policies and strategies developed through dialogue with the NMCP, MOH, other GRM Ministries and International Partners. The SMTO will also provide guidance and oversight to the technical members of the local team and short-term technical consultants. The SMTO provides assistance to the MOH in translating national policy into practical guidance to support implementation of the Provincial and District levels and, when required, in developing technical proposals for funding health sector activity. The SMTO also plays a role in ensuring the technical quality of PMI activities implemented through sub-grants. Senior Provincial Technical Officer, Mozambique
There are four positions available for the Senior Provincial Technical Officers (SPTOs). They will have crucial roles in implementing contract activities that strengthen the four Provincial Health Directorates in Nampula, Zambezia, Gaza and Maputo province. These locally recruited SPTOs will be based in the provincial capitals and will support two major areas: a) strengthen staff management, leadership and planning skills, and b) provide technical assistance and support to training and supervision in areas of maternal and child health, reproductive health/family planning and nutrition. Technical Advisor, Botswana
Located at Gaborone, Botswana, this position is to provide technical leadership and oversight of design, development and implementation of specific technical components of a 5-year youth HIV prevention program, including promotion of abstinence, being faithful; condom use; parent-child communication; life skills; alcohol abuse prevention; youth participation; and referrals to services. Build capacity of project staff and implementing partners to manage HIV prevention programs. Provide guidance on the development of technical strategies and tools ? including those related to BCC, materials development, training/capacity building, youth participation, gender and faith-based initiatives. BS/BA in public health or related field, and 9-11 years relevant experience in HIV/AIDS or family planning with international development programs. Overseas field experience required. or MS/MA/MPH and 7 - 9 years relevant experience; or PhD, MD or similar degree with 5 - 7 years relevant experience. Overseas field experience required.

Director, Lab Services, Nigeria
Provides leadership and management oversight of all aspects of the FHI/GHAIN laboratory services in Nigeria. This includes infrastructure up-grading of mainly public sector laboratories newly included in the program, supply chain management and all laboratory best practice aspects, capacity building of lab scientists at service and management level, laboratory maintenance, quality assurance and improvement, and an advisory role to the Government of Nigeria in the organization and system strengthening aspects of cost-efficient laboratory services with defined quality standards on tertiary, secondary and primary service level. Advises on new technology development and its application in the Nigerian context. MD/PhD in laboratory sciences or related fields with at least 7 years professional experience in day-to-day running and management of laboratory service; includes 5-7 years of supervisory experience including multi-centre supervision, overseas field experience required. Experience in establishing and managing laboratory services in developing countries including CD4, HIV viral load and HIV early infant diagnosis, TB culture and TB drug sensitivity testing. Certification of license to practice as medical laboratory scientist required.

Deputy Chief of Party, Technical, Nigeria
Provides technical and management leadership, develop technical strategies and oversee their design and implementation of programs for the USAID-funded GHAIN project. Main responsibilities include: Provides technical expertise and leadership for the design and implementation of HIV/AIDS prevention, care, treatment and support programs; Works in close coordination with the Deputy Chief of Party, Program Management, and supports the Chief of Party/GHAIN, and the relevant staff of USAID/Nigeria; Provides leadership and supervision to the Directors of Community Services, Care and Treatment, and Monitoring and Evaluation; Ensures that high quality and state of the art HIV prevention, care and treatment interventions are implemented in a timely manner and in coordination and collaboration with GHAIN partners, other USG partners (e.g. CDC, UMD, Harvard) and the GON; Oversees quality assurance program for all technical aspects of the Project. MD degree and ten years professional health care experience including at least 7-9 years specialized experience in HIV/AIDS care in developing country settings plus at least 5 years management experience. Overseas field experience required.

Senior Technical Officer, Papua New Guinea
Located at Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, this position will provide responsive high quality technical leadership, manage technical assistance, and ensure the quality of, HIV/AIDS prevention, care, and treatment interventions and research in Papua New Guinea. Ensures establishment and scale-up of Continuum of Prevention-to-Care-to-Treatment model; Provides technical inputs to ensure high quality program implementation in PNG; Responds to requests for technical assistance in a timely manner; Develops reports, presentations, publications and other materials to a high standard, etc. MD or nursing qualification with a masters degree in relevant field with minimum 5 years experience in implementation of HIV prevention, care and treatment programs; Extensive experience in designing and implementing continuum of prevention to care to treatment programs in developing countries; Experience with U.S. government contractual requirements and experience working in an international NGO/PVO environment desirable. *

Senior Director, Global Operations, Asia and Pacific Regional Office Located at Bangkok, Thailand, the Senior Director will lead FHI's Asia and Pacific Regional Office, its strategic direction and manages its full range of resources. Serve as FHI's lead representative in the region with partners and sponsors. Supervises and strengthens capacity of Asia and Pacific Regional Office managers and country directors in the region. Ensures that country and regional strategies are aligned with FHI strategic direction. BS/BA and 13-15 ears relevant experience with international development programs and includes 7-9 years of supervisory experience; or MS/MA and 11-13 years relevant experience; or PhD/MD and 9-11 years relevant experience. overseas field experience required.
