We are seeking qualified candidates for the following positions:
Vice President, Technical Support (Arlington, VA)
Provides technical leadership and oversight for the technical strategies and activities of FHI's Public Health Programs. Manages the Technical Support Department. Works closely and coordinates with the Vice President, Program Management for Public Health Programs and other senior FHI staff in Research. MD or PhD, with public health degree or equivalent experience in public health and 11-13 years of professional experience; or Master's degree in relevant discipline and 13-15 years of professional health experience. Experience includes seven years specialized experience in HIV/AIDS and/or infectious diseases programs in developing country settings plus 8 years management experience in public health programs. Experience must reflect the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed above.
Country Director, Nigeria (Abuja, Nigeria)
Provides leadership and management oversight for all FHI's portfolio of projects for Nigeria; Oversees operations and, as the primary FHI country representative, ensures strong collaboration between FHI and local government, donors and sponsors. Represents FHI to external donors/sponsors and leads FHI business and resource development efforts in country. Also serves as Project Director or Chief of Party (COP) on the GHAIN project. PhD/MD and 9-11 years relevant experience with international development programs; or MS/MA and 11-13 years relevant experience with international development programs; or BS/BA and 13-15 years relevant experience with international development programs. Experience must include 7-9 years of supervisory experience. Overseas field experience required.
Research Associate II (Nairobi, Kenya)
Manage and supervise clinical research management staff in the Kenya Clinical Research Unit (KCRU). Will assist the KCRU Research Associate III in these tasks, ensuring that the policies and procedures of the Research domain are implemented and understood by all staff in the Unit; Ensure staff are properly and adequately trained to perform their functions; Represent FHI appropriately at meetings with study donors and sponsors; and Perform other related duties as assigned. BS/BA in public health or related field and 8-10 years relevant experience and professional level of knowledge and expertise in research methods and application; or MS/MA/MPH and 5-7 years relevant experience and professional level of knowledge and expertise in research methods and application.
