We are seeking qualified candidates for the following positions:
Associate Resource Development Officer (Arlington, VA)
As a member of the Resource Development (RD) team, provide support to proposal development efforts that contribute to the growth of FHI's donor portfolio and increase its level of funding. Main responsibilities include: Undertake writing assignments and/or coordinate and edit writing assignments in support of RD proposal efforts; Provide input and assist in the development of tools, guidelines and monitoring systems in support to RD efforts at headquarters and country offices; Coordinate and communicate with partners to facilitate timely submission of contributions; Research relationships with existing and new donors that support HIV/AIDS, reproductive health, family planning and infectious diseases programs and other technical areas as appropriate; Serve as resource for provision of RD relevant information for FHI and represent the organization at external meetings/events as appropriate; Perform other duties as assigned. BS/BA in technical writing or related field, and 3 - 5 years relevant experience in proposal writing and development, or experience in other professional writing and marketing function; or MS/MA in related field, and 1 - 3 years relevant experience.
Senior Technical Officer, Health Management Information Systems (Arlington, VA)
Responsible for providing technical assistance and overseeing overall FHI Health Management Information Systems (HMIS) assessment, design and quality implementation for FHI Care and Treatment programs. Will provide technical assistance to Country Offices to foster the use of HMIS data and its standardization. MS/MA/MPH in public health field, and 5-7 years experience in HIV/AIDS or reproductive health with international development programs including at least 5 years in HMIS design, implementation and management; Or PhD, MD or similar degree and 2-4 years relevant experience in HIV/AIDS or reproductive health with international development programs including at least 2 years in HMIS design, implementation and management. Overseas field experience required.
Director, Shared Services, Asia Pacific Region (Bangkok, Thailand)
Performs at a senior leadership level in the Asia/Pacific region in the lead business management role responsible for direction of Shared Services functions of accounting and finance, contracts and grants management, human resources, information technology, general administration, and regulatory / quality assurance in support of operations and service objectives of the region. Working under technical supervision of Headquarters Global Shared Services (GSS) management, this position (and shared services resources located within the regional hub office) provides technical coordination and support to the same functions in country and field offices within the operations region. BS/BA Business Management or related field, and 11-13 years relevant management and supervisory experience in highly relevant international organizations and duties; or MS/MA/MBA in Business Management related field, and 9 - 11 years relevant experience; or PhD or similar degree with 7 - 11 years relevant experience. Country Director, Cambodia
Provides leadership to and oversight of the management of FHI's country program in Cambodia. Ensures the achievement of results through high quality program and/or research implementation that conforms to the requirements and expectations of donor agencies. Responsible for overseeing all functions of the country office including program, technical, finance, contracts and grants and human resources and for ensure strong collaboration between FHI and the Government of Cambodia, USAID, UN agencies, other donors and NGOs and stakeholders. MS/MA/MPH in public health or related field, and 9 - 11 years relevant experience in international development programs, with 5-7 years supervisory experience. Overseas field experience required. Local applicants preferred.
Project Director, Madagascar
To implement and manage the Institute for Family Health focus "Contraceptive and Reproductive Health Technologies and Research Utilization" (CRTU) program in Madagascar. Specifically, to lead the development of country specific work plans based on local needs. To identify research and program development opportunities as well as opportunities to utilize research results. To establish and maintain solid working relationships with the USAID Mission, other donors, Ministry of Health; Reproductive Health Division, NGOs, and in-country partners. To provide leadership, management, and administrative oversight for FHI's research, training, and information dissemination activities in Madagascar. Position based at Antananarivo, Madagascar. Ph.D. or Master's degree in social science/public health; or equivalent degree work experience; plus seven years program management experience to include two relevant management experiences. Good cross-cultural communication skills. Fluency in French required; Fluency in English is strong preferred. Local applicants preferred.
Deputy Director, Zambia
As a member of the ZPCT Senior Management Team, to participate fully in management and technical oversight of FHI's USAID/Zambia-funded ZPCT Partnership to ensure that the overall project is effectively and efficiently implemented; to supervise the work of the Lusaka Office ZPCT Program Department, including the Program and Community Mobilization Units. To oversee the ZPCT Provincial Offices and to supervise the Provincial Program Managers and other select staff. MA/MS and a minimum of 7-10 years relevant experience managing a large, international public health program that includes 3-5 years supervisory experience; or PhD/MD and 5-7 years relevant experience that includes 3-5 years supervisory experience. Experience must reflect the knowledge, skills and abilities listed above.
