Behavior Change Advisor

Save the Children, an international relief and development organiza-
tion that seeks to make lasting changes in the lives of children
worldwide, has an immediate opportunity for a Behavior Change Advisor
to provide leadership in health promotion and behavior change for the
Saving Newborn Lives (SNL) global initiative. As a key member of the
SNL team, the Behavior Change Advisor will provide technical support
and training to health practitioners, community health organizations,
and mothers: and will be instrumental in developing culturally appro-
priate strategies and interventions to improve newborn health care
services in developing counties.

Requirements include a Master's degree in public health, health edu-
cation or related field and ten years' field experience designing and
implementing behavior change programs, preferably in Africa or Asia,
with special emphasis in reproductive health and or child health pro-
grams. Proven ability to work effectively as a team member, and cata-
lyst for change, with ability to integrate ideas into programs and
services. Excellent interpersonal and oral/written communication
skills. Competency in French or other second language desired. Abil-
ity to travel internationally 40% of the time.

This is a great job and is located in our Washington DC office. We
would be unable to pay relocation expenses, but this job may be per-
fect for some who has recently returned to the US but wouldn't mind
travelling again. It is a key position we need filled urgently.
