Dear Dr. Micky,

I would suggest you contact Dr. James Mwansa of the Lusaka University Teaching Hospital at jclmwansa@yahoo.ca and/or Mr. Oliver Hazemba, MSH/RPM Plus in Zambia at ohazemba@msh.org

They both coordinate the APUA-Zambia chapter and have information on local antimicrobial use and practices that can be very useful to you.

I will also invite you to visit our website: www.apua.org

2) EssentialDrugs.org
The essentialdrugs.org website was launched in 2002 (the 25th anniversary of the essential drug concept) as there is a growing need to collect, store and exchange essential drug information among health workers.

3) Presentations and handouts from the 2nd annual conference on improving the use of medicines

4) Prescription Assistance Resources on Medical Matrix: A huge list of resources and websites. For example, links to the "Antibiotic Guideline of South Africa from Ampath" and the "The Prescriber", a UNICEF newsletter promoting rational drug use and correct case management in basic health services.
