Skills Building Workshop at ICASA 2005

Dear Friends,
Development Partnership International (DPI) and her Partners are
organizing a skills building workshop at ICASA 2005 titled:
"Integrating Sexual and Reproductive health rights in AIDS pre-
vention and Treatment Strategies: Young women take Action!"
DPI is concerned that some AIDS prevention strategies are under-
mining or conflicting with programs and initiatives that support
and promote young people's Sexual, Reproductive and Health
Rights .And that young women are not involved in the design, im-
plementation or evaluation of AIDS programs and policies that
are targeted towards them.
The situation of HIV/AIDS and young people especially young
women ,nationally, regionally and internationally will be ex-
plored in this session in order to build greater understanding
on the need for creation of stronger linkages between sexual,
reproductive and health rights, gender and young women perspec-
tives and HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment strategies.
