E-DRUG: Availability of Analgin in Nepalsese Market after being banned

Dear Sir,

It is reference to your e-drug message which appeared on 2 August 1999.
We have suggested measures that could have supported more effective
implementation of banning. The measures are:

1.Prescribers,Distributors,Retailers should be informed about the
banned items through different media.

2.Regular supervision/monitoring of distributors, wholesalers, retailers to see that these drugs are not
available in the market.

3.Legal action should be taken against anyone violeting the
regulation.

4.The drug regulatory authority should be strengthened to carry out
supervision/monitoring effectively.

With Regards.

Yours Sincerely
Prof.Kumud K.Kafle
