E-drug: E-DRUG: Drug donations campaign in (W) Europe

I am pleased to announce the official start of a European campaign on
drug donations. The campaign is organised in several member states of
the European Union; the overall aim is to raise awareness for the need
to improve the quality of European drug donations among different
target-groups. The campaign falls under the responsibility of an
NGO-consortium of DIFAM (Germany), PIMED (France) and Wemos
(Netherlands). Wemos coordinates the consortium. On the national level a
large number of development education activities will be undertaken in
the participating countries: the Netherlands, Germany and France, and in
later stages in other European countries.
Some of the European activities include:
- An expert seminar on appropriate drug donations June 11th and 12th in
the Netherlands, more information on

- A multilingual internet-site containing information on appropriate
drug donations, to be launched in the coming months at
http://www.drugdonations.org
- Publications on awareness raising and advocacy for appropriate drug
donations and good donations practice.
