Remuneration
Basic annual salary starting from 103,600 Swiss Frs. Role Summary
Key Responsibilities
Contribution to generate procurement information for decision-making process in the context of the Country Team Approach:
1.Contribute integrated monitoring based on management and decision tools (Country Profile, PQR, PUDR, PSM plan, EFR and BI system) to support grant management in collaboration with subject matter experts.
For high and medium impact countries, the TO will support PMAS team in the preparation of procurement information/reports for PSM plan/Phase 2 reviews/Periodic Reviews, included:
• QA Compliance report
• PQR completeness report for key products
• Price reports and benchmarking grants
• Monitor PSM performance per grant
• Ad hoc requests for procurement data collection
2.Support PMAS in reporting on and monitoring progress of CTA implementation as defined by Country Teams and coordinate PMU communication on CTA
3.Support training activities to Country Teams on PMU matters for grant management
4.Lead the design and manage integrated monitoring and decision tools to support grant management and policy implementation
• Monitor the quality of collected data according to quality control (QC) procedures
• Participate in the nomenclature data according to QC procedures
• Participate in the testing phase before production of new versions of PQR
• Provide support to design and develop PQR on-line training package
Assistance to the Market Dynamics and Commodities committee (MDC) Focal Point
• Preparation of MDC background papers in collaboration with senior technical officers
• Rapporteur at MDC meetings
• Preparation of the MDC report to the Board
• Management of MDC communication and coordination, assistance to MDC Chair
• Maintenance of the MDC work plan
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Qualifications
Essential:
Advanced Pharmacy-based University degree with an emphasis on data management and quantitative analytical skills.
Desirable:
MPH, Masters in Pharmacy, Masters in Pharmaceutical Economics
Experience
Essential:
A minimum of 4 years’ experience related to information systems, quantitative analysis and managing data sets.
Strong experience of report writing and preparation.

Languages:
An excellent knowledge of English. A good working knowledge of French a distinct advantage and knowledge of other relevant languages would be an asset.

The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria is a global public/private partnership dedicated to raising and disbursing large amounts of additional finance to prevent and treat the three pandemics. The vacancy is in the Secretariat of the Global Fund. The Secretariat manages the grant portfolio, including executing Board policies, disbursing money to grant recipients and implementing performance-based funding of grants. The Secretariat is also tasked with resource mobilization; providing strategic, policy, financial, legal and administrative support and overseeing monitoring and evaluation. It is based in Geneva and has no staff located outside its headquarters.
