We are happy to announce that the pre-publication copy of the
"Handbook on access to HIV/AIDS-related treatment- A collection of
information, tools and resources for NGOs, CBOs and PLHA groups" , a
joint HIV/AIDS Alliance, WHO/EDM and UNAIDS work (June 2002) is now

This Hanbook is a resource to help NGOs, CBOs and PLHA groups find
practical ways to understand, plan and undertake work on
HIV/AIDS-related treatment. The handbook aims to: Build practical
skills among NGOs, CBOs and PLHA by using participatory activities
and sharing experience; Provide a training resource for NGO support
programmes, training organizations and individuals; Continue learning
about HIV/AIDS-related treatment work of NGOs, CBOs and PLHA groups.
It is intended for use by organizations and trainers who support
NGOs, CBOs and PLHA groups in training workshops or as a resource on
technical support visits.
The handbook is based on practical experiences and participatory
approaches. It was developed by the International HIV/AIDS Alliance
with the support of UNAIDS and WHO.
