''The Brazilian Health Ministry and the Brazilian Medical Association (AMB)
have set up a website with information on generic medicines. The site,
which can be found at www.medicamentogenerico.org.br, contains a database
of generic medicines, with information on generic products available in
Brazil, manufacturing companies, reference products, therapeutic
categories, dosage and pharmaceutical form. The database can be searched by
generic name, reference product, company or therapeutic category. The
website also provides details of bioequivalence testing laboratories in
Brazil, and news and general information on generics. The association of
generic manufacturing companies in Brazil, ProGenericos, has also set up
its own website, at www.progenericos.org.br.''
