E-DRUG: Open invitation for feedback: 2012 Access to Medicine Index
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear E-Druggers,
We invite you to share your thoughts about the 2012 Access to Medicine
Index and offer suggestions for the next iteration in a short online survey
https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/survey2012AccesstoMedicineIndex
by *February 28th, 2013*.
*What is the Index?*
The Access to Medicine Index (www.accesstomedicineindex.org) is an
independent initiative that ranks the world’s 20 largest companies
according to their efforts to make their products more available,
affordable and accessible in developing countries. It aims to help
companies play their part in addressing the challenge of access and to
offer them insight into the activities of their peers, and also seeks to
create a platform that stakeholders across industry, government, civil
society and academia can coalesce around to form a common view of how these
companies can make further progress. The Index is published every two years
by the Access to Medicine Foundation, with financial support from donors
such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the UK and Dutch
governments.
*Tell us what you think*
As we begin to prepare for the next Access to Medicine Index (due in 2014),
it is essential for us to look back at the recently published 2012 Index.
In doing so, we aim to learn and evolve so that the 2014 Index can be as
thorough, balanced and relevant as possible. We have designed a short,
user-friendly online survey that covers everything from the development of
the 2012 Index methodology to the presentation of the 2012 Index results.
You may complete the survey anonymously either by responding to a series of
questions about these topics, or by using a shortcut to enter all your
feedback at once. We encourage you to complete the survey regardless of
your level of expertise or experience with the 2012 Index. It should take
10-30 minutes to complete, depending on the amount of feedback you wish to
provide.
This survey is not only a means of evaluating the 2012 Index, but also
gives us the opportunity to explore new options for stakeholder engagement
in order to increase the reach and impact of the next Access to Medicine
Index. We welcome your ideas!
If you have questions about the Access to Medicine Index initiative or the
online survey, please contact Alice Helbing (ahelbing@atmindex.org) at The
Access to Medicine Foundation.
Thank you in advance for your time and consideration. We look forward to
hearing from you.
