Re: Dipyrone

India has banned all combination products containing Dipyrone
(prominent among these being Hoechst's Bralgan). However
single ingredient products are still available.

The ban came into force as a consequence of a Public Interest
Litigation filed in India's apex Court by three Consumer
organisations - National Campaign Committee for Drug Policy, All
India Drug Action Network and Drug Action Forum. The complaint
seeks to ban a large number of hazardous and irrational drugs,
and matters pertaining to a large number of drugs are still under
consideration.
