E-drug: NSAIDS - do they differ? (cont)

As meloxicam is not registered in Norway, I have not specifically looked at
it. However, whilst looking for something else today, I came across an
article from a Swedish pharmaceutical journal who reported that Boehringer
Ingelheim, the manufacturer, had been forced by a Dutch court to publish
correcting information about meloxicam in journals and in letters to
doctors and pharmacists. It has also been sued in Sweden for misleading
advertising.
The article didnot state what was wrong in the advertisements, but they are
pictured and it seems to relate to the claim about less GI side effects. It
was sued by Searle and SmithKline Beecham.
