E-DRUG: Stop TB Partnership's Global Drug Facility has added diagnostic kits to its catalogue of anti-TB drugs and supplies

Dear e-druggers,
I am pleased to inform you that the Stop TB Partnership's Global Drug
Facility (GDF) has added diagnostic kits to its catalogue of anti-TB
drugs and supplies.
GDF Diagnostic Kits provide the laboratory equipment and consumables
needed to perform basic smear microscopy for diagnosis of drug sensitive
tuberculosis (TB). These standardized kits were piloted and evaluated in
three countries and found to represent a valuable contribution to
improving case finding, laboratory performance and correct diagnosis of
TB. The new kits continue a GDF tradition of packaging essential, high
quality products in ways that simplify the work of national programmes.
Kits are being offered for supply through GDF at highly competitive
prices.
GDF currently offers four Diagnostic Kits:
--- GDF Microscope Kit
--- GDF Equipment starter Kit
--- GDF Consumables Kit
--- GDF Sputum Cups (1000 pcs)
To receive a quotation for the costs of an order of kits, including
estimates of the costs of quality control, pre-shipment inspection and
transportation, interested parties should complete a GDF order form and
indicate the products and quantities in which they are interested, as
well as any customs requirements for importation (the form can be
obtained from GDF by writing to gdf@who.int). The order form also
describes the terms and conditions of GDF supply. The order form is
non-committal, but GDF requires it as a precursor to generating a
complete quotation.
