E-drug: Classification of medicines in OTC/PO etc.

We are considering changing the regulatory classification of medicines and
we would like to hear from colleagues in other countries how medicines are
categorized, i.e. what criterias are used to determine whether a medicine
should be sold without a prescription (OTC), who may prescribe etc.
